The formula design of polyethylene should pay attention to the following points:
(1) Various types of polyethylene and ethylene copolymers. Such as: ethylene and vinyl acetate (EVA), ethylene and vinyl alcohol copolymers have good compatibility, so they can be modified by blending to improve the performance of the blend;

(2) The same product type, such as film, can be manufactured by multiple production processes. For the same raw material, due to different production processes, the product performance will be very different; even if the same product is the same raw material and production process, the process parameters used are different, and the product performance will be different. Therefore, in addition to the production formula and process, Attention should also be paid to production parameters such as temperature, shear stress, and draw ratio;

(3) When modifying with rubber and plastic, it is best to use powdered rubber, or use a double-roll rubber mixer to fully mix with plastic, and then granulate for production, otherwise the rubber will not be easily dispersed into the rubber compound. plastic. When using functional materials such as fillers, antioxidants, antistatic agents, etc., it is best to use masterbatches to achieve a more uniform addition effect;

(4) The important principle of the formula is to adopt a process with low price and simple production method while fully satisfying the product requirements.

The modification of plastic includes chemical modification and physical modification. Blending formulations is a physical modification, as is lamination. Even if the two materials are fully compatible, they should be mixed thoroughly to produce good results. The properties of a mixture are the sum of the properties of two fully compatible substances and their weight percentages in the mixture.
